The East European State University in Przemyśl announces the extra recruitment for studies.

The extra recruitment for young people interested in our courses will be conducted as a contest of Secondary School Certificates.

Recruitment starts the 1st June and ends 31st of July 2017.

 

IMPORTANT! The main condition for taking part in the recruitment is to make electronic registration and submit documents as below:

  • application (PWSW form)
  • Secondary School Certificate (original document)
  • Leaving Certificate
  • 2 photos
  • confirmation of the recrutation payment: 80 PLN
  • certified photocopy of ID card


Additionally:

  • the winners and finalists of school competitions - the original or copy of competition’s confirment or certified copy,
  • the graduates of International Baccalaureate – the diploma translated by a certified translator,
  • the candidates for Interior Design studies submit the porfolio with works mentioned in a part concerning the extra examinations for this course.

Qualification procedure is taking place in a form of a Secondary School Certificates’ contest (except for Interior Design and Graphic Design course for which the additional examination is mandatory).

A qualifying examination for interior design consists of the following stages:

  • Stage I – review and evaluation of the artistic and design works presented by the candidate.
  • Stage II – a practical examination: drawing, painting and exercises for imagination, the abillity to notice and solve the spatial issues, the ability to construct, technical invention, transmission efficiency.
  • Stage III – an interview checking the specialized knowledge of a candidate (issues concerning interior design).

Foreigners holding Pole's card are recruited in the same way as Polish citizens.

Some more information about recruitment principles:

The East Eoropean  State University in Przemysl accept students in accordance with the rules in Poland and the European Union on the basis of a high school leaving certificates. Persons with the right to study in the United States, European Union countries, as well as Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Romania, have the same rights to study in Poland.

1. Persons who are not nationals of Poland, hereinafter referred to as "foreigners" can be accepted to study at PWSW in Przemysl if:

a) have a visa or a residence permit or other document authorizing them to stay on Polish territory,

b) have a good state of health, documented by a medical certificate stating no objection to take up studies in a chosen education field and form,

c) have an insurance valid in case of illness or accident in Poland or EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) or insurance of National Health Fund in Poland obtained immediately after the start of studies.

2 . Foreigners may be accepted to study at PWSW in Przemysl courses conducted in Polish language if:

a) complete a one-year preparatory course of Polish language in the units designated by the minister for higher education,

or:

b) have a language certificate issued by the Polish State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language, or:

c) receive confirmation from PWSW that their preparation and the degree of knowledge of the Polish language allows them to study in Polish.

Those who wish to improve their language skills during their studies can participate in the lecture "Culture of the Polish language".

3.  Foreigners, who can undertake studies with the principles applicable to Polish citizens are:

a) citizens of Member States of the European Union, the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation and their family members who have the right of permanent residence,

b) foreigners who have been granted the permission to settle in Poland,
c) foreigners with the refugee status granted in the Republic of Poland,

d) foreigners with temporary protection on Polish territory,

e) migrant workers who are nationals of the Member State of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation or a Member State of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as well as their family members, if they are living on a Polish territory,
f) foreigners authorized for a long term resident permit of the European Communities,

g) foreigners who were granted residence permit for a specified period of time due to the circumstance referred to in Art. 127, art. 157 paragraph 1 or art. 186, paragraph 1,  p. 3 or 4 of the Act on Foreigners, 12 December 2013 (Journal of Laws item1650),

h) foreign nationals who have been granted subsidiary protection in the territory of the Republic of Poland.

4.Nationals of Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and members of their families having the funds necessary to cover the cost of living during their studies; they can undertake studies of higher education and other forms of education, according to the rules applicable for Polish citizens; these persons are not entitled to maintenance grants, special scholarships for the disabled and allowances.

5. Pole's  Card holders can undertake studies of higher education according to the rules applicable for Polish citizens, or the principles set out in section 7.

6. Holders of a valid Pole's Card can study under the rules applicable for Polish citizens and are recruited to the college as Polish citizens.

7.  Foreigners not listed in the section. 3, may undertake studies on the basis of:

a) international agreements under the terms of these agreements,

b) agreements with foreign entities signed by PWSW, under the terms of these agreements,

c) the decision of the Minister of Higher Education,

decision of the Rector,

and study as

a) the Polish scholars,

b) with a tuition fee,

c) with a tuition fee and with no right for scholarships,

d) as Fellows of the sending party, and without charge for tuition,

e) the University scholars.

8. Required documents:

1. questionnaire completed by the candidate,

2. legalized or an apostille certificate or other certficate obtained abroad, entitling to apply for an admission to study at the universities in the country with recognized as equivalent to the Polish high school leaving certificate in accordance with the recognition procedure of high school leaving and matriculation certificates obtained abroad, or recognized under an international agreement, as equivalent to the Polish high school leaving certificate or granting access to such studies in Poland ,

3. a medical certificate stating that there are no contradictions for the candidate to start chosen study programme,

4. Polish language proficiency certificate or confirmation of the host institution, that the preparation and the degree of knowledge of the Polish language allows candidate to study in Polish language,

5. insurance in case of illness or accident, for a period of studying in Poland or the European Health Insurance Card or proof of insurance from the National Health Fund obtained immediately after the start of studies,

6. 2 photographs (37x52 mm),

7. visa or a residence permit or other document authorizing them to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland - in the case of foreign nationals from outside the European Union Member States, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA),

8. A certified photocopy of passport (page with photo and number),

9. proof of payment of an application fee by the applicant.

We require the translation of documents into Polish language by a Polish certified translator.

Recognition of certificates obtained abroad shall conduct the curator of education, having jurisdiction over the place of residence of the applicant; in the absence of such a place - school superintendent having jurisdiction over the institution in which the person intends to submit the certificate obtained abroad (Board of Education in Rzeszów , ul. Grunwaldzka 15, Tel: 017 8671142).

The recognition of the document requires the legalization of the document by the Polish consul office in the country in which the certificate was issued.

If the certificate is' issued in a State being the member of the Hague Convention of 5.10. 1961, legalization Shall be made in the form of the certificate (apostille) contained in the document or attached to it (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country Concerned Shall designate centers where you can get an apostille certificate).

Recognition is not required if the foreign certificate may be considered equivalent to the Polish high school leaving certificate on the basis of the relevant international agreement. Apostille certificate is sufficient in such a case.

Equivalency diploma certificate stating the candidate's leaving certificate is the equivalent to Polish leaving certificate, must be submited not later than to the end of the first semester of studies, in justified cases the Rector of PWSW may merit the term.

The equivalent to a Polish school leaving certificate, is an international baccalaureate diploma and does not nead a recognition.
