On behalf of prof. Jan Draus, Rector of PWSW, we are pleased to inform you that Eastern European State Higher School (PWSW) is seeking Erasmus partnerships for students/ staff mobility so we are willing to start out a co-operation within LLP/Erasmus Program in the human subject area. PWSW is a new and modern school of higher education, specilising in humanistic fields and developing dynamically in the south-east of Poland since 2001. Each institute has introduced an ECTS structure to facilitate international mobility and we were granted the Erasmus University Chart in 2007 for 2008-2013.
We offer our incoming students the opportunity to get to know Poland's language and culture in a unique location of the meeting point of the Eastern and Western Europe (do not hesitate to visit the website of the region at http://www.przemysl.pl/english/). Moreover, the incoming students will be provided with the support in the form of welcome events, introduction to the host university, language courses, academic advice to students or assistance with practical matters.
Currently we offer the following undergraduate courses (lasting 3 years):
History and Archives
Politology
Sociology
International Relations
Polish Studies
Ukrainian Studies
English studies
Applied Linguistics
Interior Design
Mechanical Engineering
Environmental Engineering
Although all lectures are given in Polish, some courses can be taught in other languages (note: some subjects at the Institute of Ukrainian Studies are taught in Ukrainian). Besides, incoming students can attend EILC in Poland (http://erasmus.org.pl/index.php/ida/75/ ). Our students are taught English, German, Russian and Ukrainian as a foreign language.
We truly believe in the usefulness of the LLP/Erasmus Program as a chance for our students, and for those who are coming, to enrich their academic and cultural experiences. We hope to sign a bilateral agreement so that both your and our students can widen their possibilities and chances to live this great experience.
